My full name is Sandra Gutierrez-Valdez. I am currently 24 years of age living in Clovis, CA. Besides film and photography, I have a passion for teaching and working with children, which is why I am currently pursuing a career as an elementary school teacher. However, no matter how much I enjoy working in a classroom, my heart and love have always been in videography and photography. 

 

I have been pursuing photography and videography for the past six years from first as a hobby of mine to now a part-time job hustle. I enjoy creating content as a creative piece of art. From short films to portraits, I love the process of developing a form of art to capture memorable moments and of course to frame them.

My love of photography and videography first started off early in my childhood when I used my mom's old camcorder to capture the beauty of mother nature- capturing breathless sunsets and landscapes of nature for fun. It then lead me to want to learn more about film and videography as it lead me to take a videography class in high school. This is where I learned how much I enjoy creating videos and how much I enjoy the reward of what follows finishing a project that you worked so hard on.

After high school, I bought myself my first camera, a Canon T6i. It was super exciting that I bought my first camera. I knew I wanted to learn more about photography and film, so what better than being self-taught. I spent hours watching videos on Youtube on photography tutorials. From setting up lighting to using manual on my camera, I learned it all by spending hours on Youtube.

I did not think I ever would start my own photography business, but after years of seeing potential growth in my own photography journey, I decided to just go for it and to follow my dreams. This is where I decided to start an Instagram and use it as a place to display my work.

Now, almost four years later, my photography business is growing. I have seen huge growth from where I first started and although I feel like I am still learning how to be the best photographer, I am reaching to so many of my clients and ensuring that I meet their expectations when capturing their memorable moments.

From birthday events, anniversary/engagement and family photoshoots, to self-portraits, I am truly passionate about the work I create and deliver to my clients.
